<content>Myanmar in Falls Church really shone in a multi-course lunch for eight people.

Started with the ginger salad, which I thought was perfect, only to be outdone (!) by the tea-leaf salad, similar but with some added bitterness. Wow. At five bucks a pop, these salads alone are a great, great meal for cheap.

Gram fritters, done to a nice crisp. Especially good with the sauce and raw onions.

Pork with fresh mango was juicy, bright, and cheery.

Rangoon noodles were buttery, delicate.

Separate orders of squash and pumpkin , plenty tasty.

Whole roasted fish, ordered spicy, was not as spicy as previous visits, but was helped out by a caramelized tangle of onions and red peppers.

Two condiments labeled "fries" on the menu: one a crispy topping of dried fish, the other - greens in a fish sauce. These really provide some great punch. I was very glad we got these.

Mohingar, a huge bowl of thick, comforting fish soup. This was good when we added the condiments plus toasted red pepper flakes.

This was a fun, exciting meal. Hard to do better.
