Windows of Hope in the Bay Area

Hungry... Oct 1, 2001 10:14 AM

Chef Micheal Lomanaco, of the former Windows on the World, is sponsoring an event to benefit the families of the employees of Windows whose lives were lost in the tragedy of September 11th. On October 11th restaurants across the country are being asked to donate a minimum of 10 percent of their sales for the evening towards the fund. I was hoping to find a list of participating restaurants in the Bay Area. Thank you and hopefully you too will support the fund...

Thanks for posting the link, Daphne. I've made my reservation for Oct. 11. I hope we'll have many reports from chowhounds throughout the area on their dinners that night.

Many breweries, beer bars and brewpubs will donate to the United Way's Sep 11 Fund from beer sales on Oct 11. See link below for a list of participating establishments. If you can't make it to dinner, perhaps you can have a quick beer for the cause.
