Mayflower for dim sum, Richmond neighborhood, SF

Had dim sum at mayflower on geary and 27th ave today. I think it compares well with the other more popular places like yank Sing or Ton Kiang.

To me, the standout dishes were a wonderfully crunchy and tasty steamed tripe dish and the shiu mai (open top dumplings) that were loaded with good sweet crunchy chunks of prawns and mushrooms.

Questions. What mushroom--Shiitake? Do they have pork shiu mai?

Regarding the shiu mai, I believe the mushrooms were shiitake, and yes there was a little bit of pork, although the prawns were more prominent.

Have you tried Parc Hong Kong on Geary and 17th?, formerly Hong Kong Flower Lounge? They also have steller dim sum.
