McCormick and Schmick's is offering free dinner to Veterans on Sunday, November 6th in celebration of Veteran's Day. Has anyone heard of any other restaurant in the DC area having a similar offer for Veterans during next week?

Applebees, Golden Corral, and Chicago Uno all have free entrees for vets and active duty personnel; Outback has a free Bloomin Onion. USA Today had a story on this recently, and more details are in this article: http://www.eatdrinkdeals.com/2009/11/roundup-of-deals-for-vets/

I think the Inn at Little Washington has an ongoing promotion for service members (not sure about Veterans). I'm not 100% sure about the details if it's a free dinner or a % off. But if you are looking for a super nice celebratory dinner, this is always a good idea.

yes - it's a week day promotion, and still very expensive (out of reach of the enlisted, that's for sure). Better than nothing, but still very expensive.

I wish 'local' places would offer stuff. We're for sure not going to Golden Corral or whatnot, but it'd be nice if you showed your ID you got something. It would make us go out on an otherwise home cooking night.
