At Majestic Cafe in Alexandria, there's a blackberry pie with crumb topping and spiced creme. At Palena, blackberry shortcake - a perfect sweet biscuit split and filled with berries, topped with whipped cream, and a bit of creme anglaise on the plate. We went to Farmer's Market today in Dupont and saw blackberries there that were so incredible that they didn't even look real. Didn't buy them. Had too many bags already but after your post I'm feeling really bad about that.
