"Kitaro" in San Francisco

Today the San Francisco Chronicle has the following review.
I really liked Kitaro before they moved to the bigger location. The old place was more intimate and succeeded at delivering high-quality sushi/japanese food at very reasonable prices where many others (like We Be Sushi) failed . The new place has little character and is very stuffy despite being far larger (ventilation problem).
It also apears that the staff is different. I might be wrong, but the original staff might have been Japanese, whereas the current stuff in the newer location is Chinese, which indicates that the business might have been sold.
