Hawaiian and Spam Musubi

Anyone know of any hawaiian restaurants/delis that serve spam Musubi? I know it's relatively easy to make, but I'm also craving poi like you wouldn't believe. I live in Alexandria, but willing to drive out to get some tasty poi and spam musubi goodness.

    The only Hawaiin place I know of is Fins in Crofton, MD. It opened about 3?? years ago; I ate there 2 years ago. I assume it is still there; maybe someone else has an update. Their food is authentic but also somewhat new wavey, so whether they would have spam and poi I couldn't say. Might be worth a phone call.

      Fins is still there, but they serve "high end" hawaiian fusion food, so I don't think they would serve spam, and their menu does not list it. But, since there's a nearby Shopper's Food Warehouse and since the chefs were trained in Hawaii, then they may make something special for you if you request it in advance.

        Roy's Restaurant in downtown Baltimore has amazing hawaiian fusion food--- their menu changes daily, so the fish is always outstanding and fresh.

      Wow....this is really tough to find around here. In fact, it's tough to find Hawaiian "local food" anywhere outside Hawaii.

      The plate lunch is one of the best types of street food that I've encountered anywhere in the world. In Hawaii you can find Spam musubi at 7-Eleven! There, a scoop of sticky rice and macaroni salad is recognized as normal. Best of all...local food is cheap.

      I'm just not sure you'll find anything like this around here. Good luck (and let me know if you do find some).

        Yeah, I'd be really interested if you find any Hawaiian places, too! Have a malasada craving like you wouldn't believe. So much so, that I'm tossing around the idea of opening a farmer's market stall to make and sell malasadas.
