It's a new pho restaurant in the Burtonsville (Montgomery County) area, in the shopping center at the corner of Briggs Chaney and Old Columbia Pike. I just thought that it was the funniest name ever for a restaurant.

I went the other day with some friends who live in the area. They have a very limited selection, with some apps but it's clearly all about the pho. No seafood or chicken soup selections, just beef and its variations (tendon, meatballs, tripe, etc.) They did have a great selection of drinks and desserts.

The pho broth was pretty decent, very clear and spicy. It's definitely worth going to if you live in the area, which is one of the few places in Mo Co that doesn't have a pho place around every corner.

That's a first for a pho joint. Usually, you just get corny Thai names like Thaiphoon, etc.

Well actually in Herndon there is Pho and Beyond. Took over a place I really liked. I've only gone twice early on and haven't gone back, especially since finding Pho 75 Reston (not the Pho 75 chain that is prevalent). Thanks to bilrus for that one.

I was relaying Pho and Beyond to my wife and got mixed up, called it Pho and More, which of course came out like Pho and Mo, which I thought was pretty funny. If that got taken one step further, you could call it MoPho's.

Well the Pho 75 in Herndon is in the K-Mart shopping center on Elden, just west of Herndon Pkwy and Ffax Cnty Pkwy.

The better one is Pho 75 Reston, which isn't part of the other mini chain. It is in the Tall Oaks center, which is off of Wiehle and North Shore. For you, it's probably quickest via toll road to Wiehle exit, go north past the McTacoHut, Exxon and firestation. The light after that take a right, then take the first left - it will be to the left. Another good find right there is El Manantial, which is to the right of the Giant when you're in that same parking lot.
