Hi there,

I am having the strongest craving for some Mount Gay Extra Old, and don't see myself making it to the Caribbean anytime in the near future. Does anyone know where I can find some in the area? Thanks.

Give this on-line shop a whirl. I'm not a rum drinker but it seems like their selection is pretty good.

Not sure about Mt. Gay - never been real partial to it but I have a rum tip for anyone interested. I used to live on St. Croix and the local rum - Cruzan - is very good. They produce a huge amount but most of it gets sent by cargo ship to be bottled in Baltimore and other places under real generic labels. You'll find it with lame pictures of sailing ships and stuff like that but if it says "Product of the Virgin Islands" or "Virgin Islands Rum" then it's Cruzan and it's good. Both their white and gold rums are clean and dry. They sell 1.5 L of the stuff for about $9.00 to $11.00 so it's a bargain. Also, Cruzan has just started to blend the huge stock of aged rums they've had cellared in barrels and the stuff is terrific and still a good deal. Just thought I'd throw in a plug for a good product from a place I love.

If you haven't already, try the Cruzan Blackstrap rum. More intense than the Gosling Black Seal, almost like alcoholic molasses. Top notch!

Thanks,
