noodle restaurant in San Francisco

I'm trying to remember the name of a little hole-in-the-wall noodle restaurant in San Francisco. It's highly regarded for it's great food and crowded, table-sharing environment. Can anyone help?
Which neighborhood is the restaurant located? There must be quite a number of hole in the wall places. Obvious one that comes to my mind is King of Thai Noodle (any of the branches). Also tons of pho (Vietnamese beef noodle) places thta fit that description. If you have an approximate location and the type of noodles they serve (Thai, Chinese or Vietnamese), we might have a better idea of what the place is.
