Anyone have a chance to dine at this restaurant inside the renovated Clift Hotel?....thinking of going here for dinner on a Friday night followed by a few cocktails at the adjacent Redwood bar....worth checking out?

Thanks

I went there for lunch earlier this week. Food was excellent (the flavors blend together wonderfully), and, while items are expensive, the portions are sizable so three of us were very satisfied with one appetizer, one salad, one entree, and one side dish. The food definitely measures up with its New York counterpart, and the decor/ambience are adequately elegant.

HOWEVER, the service was awful in that they forgot our appetizer and side dish, and trying to flag down someone...ANYONE...to remind them was nearly impossible. When they finally did bring the appetizers and side dish, after the entree and salad, they did comp those items, which was the right thing to do. But, their timing was way off, and, what should have been a 90-minute lunch turned into a 2 1/2-hour affair.

The food really was delicious, but they have definite kinks to work out. I'd recommend giving them another few months to get up to speed.
