Does anyone know of restaurants in DC that offer gluten-free menu items? I'll be staying in the Adams Morgan / Dupont Circle areas but if you know of any good restaurants around offering gluten-free menu items, please let me know.

  1. I have a couple Celiac friends and they have had generally good luck with Jeff Tunks' restaurants: DC Coast, Ceiba, and Ten Penh.

Also, Bistro Bis (on Capitol Hill) seems to be sensitive to gluten allergies.

    1. I think Perry's in Adams Morgan is gluten free, or can make sure your meal would be. Perry's is on the corner of Columbia Rd. and Biltmore St., just off the intersection with 18th St.

      1. Firefly offers a totally gluten free menu. You can find it on their website. It's a cute, quaint neighborhood restaurant in Dupont.

        1. Kind of out of your area, but Rustico in Alexandria has amazing gluten-free pizza made from a chickpea crust, as well as gluten-free beer!

          1. If you're looking for dessert, Hello Cupcake in Dupont always has a gluten free cupcake option- sooo good!

            1. Disclosure that I have an interest in it, but Nude Vodka is gluten free, and is available currently at Ruth's Chris, through NOVA ABC by order, and coming to more places soon in NOVA/DC/MD.
