I mentioned below that I would write in with the name of the raisin-y Italian wine that was so good with the cheeses:

Allegrini, Recioto
Della Valpolicella Classico
2000

Imported by Wine Bow

Dal Forno's '97 Recioto is the best dessert wine I have ever tasted, even superior to the 100 point '90 Avignonesi Vin Santo. Allegrini makes an excellent Amarone; it is not surprising that their Recioto would be so good.

I have had great success with the Italian wines that Winebow imports (aka Leonardo Locascio Selections). Their wines are available at various price points, and I've enjoyed everything from the cheap but pleasant Prosecco they bring in to a wonderful and pricey super-Umbrian.
