Waterman's Crabs (Rock Hall)
Based on prior reviews, we drove over to Rock Hall in search of really good steamed crabs. Nice location on the water with a large tent over the outside deck area. Found out upon arrival that there is a live band on weekend afternoons. Although the band was pretty good, it was not really the ambiance we were looking for. Started off with steamed shrimp. Well cooked and hot out of the steamer with little seasoning. "Hot sauce" was primarily chili sauce with no detectable horseradish. There were two options for crabs: (1) small, all-you-can-eat and (2) medium, $28/dozen. Went for the mediums. Crabs arrived about 20 minutes later but were only lukewarm when served. Should have sent them back but we were really hungry. Far, far, far too much salt in the crab seasoning. In fact, the salt overwhelmed everything, including the taste of the crab. Although not overcooked, the crabs were really dry. It may had something to do with the fact that the crabs were on the verge of shedding. We left hungry and disappointed.

Wow! Totally different experience than what we had. Jumbos were $45 a dozen when we were there and delicious. The band was an oldies band but I'm old so that would explain why I liked them. But Waterman's has really good "sides" too and the ambience is incredible. I would have been upset if the crabs were the same for us as what you found. Really upset considering how far we drove! Anyway, sorry, but thanks for trying.
