Italian Beef in the area?

Does anyone know of any place (Md/DC/NoVa) serving an Italian beef sandwich? Not a cheesesteak (with no cheese) dipped in gravy, but a sandwich like you'd find in Chicago.

There was a place called Hawthorne's in College Park many years ago, but I know of no other place now that serves it.

Port of Piraeus a deli with at least two locations in DC has an Italian Hot Beef. Thinly sliced roast beef with onions and pepperoncini on a crusty role. Don't know if that is waht you are looking for, but might be close. There is a Port on 21st between M & L and one on 12th St (below H, I think).
