Steph's Sensation-Best Value Breakfast in Arlington
Guys and Gals, if you live any where near or drive by Steph's Sandwich Sensations in the morning, I give my highest recommendation to their breakfast. I ate there monday for the first time and have been back every day since. I am actually getting up earlier just to go there.
Here is the deal, they have breakfast sandwiches that start at about 3 dollars, with tons of variations, but the best deals are their platters. The "MOTHER OF ALL BREAKFASTS" includes choice of 2 pancakes or french toast, choice of bacon, sausage, or ham, 2 scrambled eggs, and hash browns for 4.65.
The key is the quality. Their food is like what mom used to make, CRISPY bacon, REAL diced potatoes cooked with onions and green peppers. The eggs, and I usually don't eat them (I never really ate breakfast before to think of it), are awesome, fluffy and perfectly cooked. Plus the couple who owns the place will definately brighten your day with their smiles-I know it sounds cheesy but they have great attitudes.
Also, I recommend the breakfast burrito ($3.50) (no margaritas with this one)-just had it today with a side of the potatoes (1 dollar). This morning I recommended to the owner that they add a fresh fruit and cups of cut fruit to the menu and he said he would have it on monday. Great to have a rest. that actually listens to the customer.
I used to eat at Steph's once a week for their awesome sandwiches (great chicken cheesesteak) but looks like I am hooked on eating their breakfast ever day.
Steph's Sandwich Senstion is on Wilson Blvd near Whole Foods and is as dependable as they come for great chow at a good price with great service.

re: enoisone
Steph's is gone. It's been replaced by Earl's Sandwiches which, as far as I know, doesn't serve breakfast.

Agreed. The eggs are TOP notch as is the bacon. I would skip the pancakes...Overall, I agree it is a huge addition to the Clarendon/Courthouse community. Serious deal at these prices. I look forward to exploring their breakfast menu further. Gooey Louie is correct in stating that the owner's (and staff-very sweet register girl) are friendly and interested in their customer's. By the second visit they were calling me by name!
My lunch suggestion is one of two sandwiches-
the first, being the Larry Bird, probably one of the best club sandwiches I have ever had...perfect mix of all key ingredients. The second, the yappster...love the cranberry sauce, could skip the munster-but, that is just my personal preference. Lastly, if sandwiches aren't your fave lunchtime food, the cobb salad has been a consistent hit in my office. Co-workers have reported craving it "after hours" :)
We are VERY lucky to have them!›2 Replies
