any dives near the Financial District?
Can anyone recommend a dive or hole-in-the-wall restaurant for lunch near the Financial District?
I'm looking for a place to escape the suits and crowds...
Well, Mangia Tutti is not a dive, but it's a relaxed, informal Italian place that never has too many suits and feels for me like an escape from the financial district. It's on Clay, just up the hill a few steps from Montgomery. I recommend either the pumpkin ravioli or whatever fish special they have that day, or the gnocci with gorgonzola if you can handle the creaminess. Also, the oil/vinegar/herb dip they have for the bread is yum.
