Two Japantowns

Although the Bay Area has two "major" Japantowns--excluding "historical" or "small" ones, I noticed many people think that there is only one.

Although I know both of San Francisco and San Jose, many posts placed on this board are confusing to me.

For some people, they are totally lost.

I ask everybody to specify which Japantown--S.F. or S.J.

  1. The one in San Jose has its own Web site.

    1. Hiko, yes, that's a good idea. In fact, it would be helpful if posters would try to specify in all messages which city the restaurant they're describing is located. The Bay Area is a big place with many municipalities.

I'm including a link below to an earlier discussion about San Jose's Japantown which was news to many of us here. Maybe you can tell us more about some of your favorite places.
