I'm taking the kids up to Ravens training camp tomorrow morning, and wondered if anyone had a recommendation for breakfast or lunch in the area. Thanks, AK

Plum Crazy Diner on Rt. 140- bright shiney silver diner. You can't miss it. Bonus- it is connected to the Twin Kiss ice cream/take-out part that preceeded the diner- snowball, softserve icecream, milkshakes, etc.

Baugher's- home-cooked meals, connected to farm and pick-your-own orchards just outside town.

Both are very close to the college.

Baughers has very plain, diner-like, food. Haven't been there for a while, but I've had the meatloaf and the fried chicken and both were pretty good. I know that my wife and friends have had other things (though I can't remember specifics) and have had no complaints. Baughers makes its own ice cream, so you might want to save room for dessert.

I have a great idea. For a fun experience and great food go to the Amish Market (a big building) on the corner of Route 32 and 27 (I think) The place is fun and the food is very good and so cheap! You will really enjoy it and probably will want to take time to shop and take some goodies home with you.........take a cooler!!

Thanks to Skipper, Sam and K for suggestions; I also consulted a friend who lives in Westminster, who recommended Harry's, Baugher's and Plum Crazy - after looking at each place (and menu) we ate at Baugher's. It was indeed nothing to write home about, but it was pleasant (I had fried chicken, a tad overdone, wife had a B.J.'s steak sandwich, kids had dogs/tenders), and inexpensive at less than twenty dollars before tip for all four. The produce stand was equipped with extra fruit for sampling, which we did.
And as for K's suggestion of the Amish market - we have eaten there many times, and like it well (we stopped and bought some Chow Chow and a pumpkin roll after lunch).

Thanks again,
