There is a great place in Germantown called Royal Deli and Bakery that has great biscotti and other Italian pastries, plus good bagels and sandwiches. It's in a little strip on Rt. 118 that you access behind the bank on the corner of Middlebrook Rd. (same center as Mi Rancho).
