Zatinya's - any good?
My parents are coming into town in two weeks, and my sister would like to try out Zatinya's with them while they are here. Has anyone eaten there yet - is it any good? What dishes in particular would you suggest? Finally, we would be going on a Saturday night - how busy does it get?
Thanks for the feedback - I want to make sure that we take them someplace they'll like, and my father especially is a very picky eater.
Thanks!
Liz

It's great -- you should definitely go. There are a few discussions further down the DC Board (just search for Zaytinya (two "y"s; no "s")); but there are many more, and more descriptive, reviews of it on that other site that must not be named.

Zaytinya is a pretty good place. I've been there a couple of times. Saturday night will be quite busy. It's a sort of hip, trendy place. Everything I've had there was really good. All of the dishes are small so what can seem like an inexpensive night out will quickly add up to be a pretty pricey night out. If you drink the bill can get really high. I was drinking Ketel One martinis and they were $9 or $10 a pop. Zaytinya serves Greek/Middle Eastern food so if you're looking for something similar I would suggest Lebanese Taverna in Woodley Park. Not exactly the same type of food but it might be a better place to take parents and the food is outstanding.
