Ole Espana - FANTASTIC Spanish in San Mateo

A few months ago on this board one of the regular posters raved about a new Spanish restaurant in San Mateo, Ole Espana. My wife and I enjoy Spanish food, so we decided to try it out. To our pleasant surprise, the dining experience lived up to and surpassed the praise heaped upon it.
Unfortunately, Ole Espana isn't getting the attention it deserves. I've dined there three times, all on Friday and Saturday nights, and have yet to see it more than three-quarters full. (If this restaurant moved to 16th and Valencia and robbed us of any chance of parking, foodied would wait one to two hours for a table.) Since Chowhound was the impetus for my visit to Ole Espana, I thought I'd post again to get the word out.
I'm not adept at food descriptions, but fortunately the menu speaks for itself. You can visit it at:
Highlights for us included (copying menu description):
MOZZARELLA DI BUFALA CON MOJO DE CILANTRO
Fresh mozzarella di bufala in a cilantro and green pepper marinade, uncommonly good tapa. The mild flavor of the fresh mozzarella cheese combines beautifully with the garlicky marinade in which the flavor of fresh cilantro predominates.
PIMIENTOS DE PIQUILLO
Our house favourite red Spanish sweet piquillo peppers stuffed with seafood, then topped with our famous lobster sauce and finished with toasted pinenuts
Stuffed baby squid with onion, garlic, calamari, shrimps with our special house sauce
Hope this will be an wonderful a discovery for you as it was for me. If so, get the word out to your fellow Chowhounds! Restaurants like this need our support, even when they're not located in the hippest corridors of the Bay Area.
