Fish Tacos in Oakland

I'm looking for the perfect fish taco in Oakland, preferably near the Lake Merritt, Piedmont area. I've recently discovered Tlaloc Sabor Mexicano in the financial district here in S.F. who make delicious fish tacos but find myself craving them for dinner and sometimes simply don't have the energy to cook... I know there's a place on Piedmont Ave. called (I believe) "Fish Tacos" but have been weary of giving it a try for fear of disappointment..... Any thoughts?
I had a fish taco at the place on Piedmont Ave. maybe 5 years ago. Just okay then.
Jennifer and I are both fans of Zamarano. She has posted earlier on their different locations. I like the fried fish there and always get the housemade corn tortillas which are great. You can roll your own. Not near Lake Merritt but at least on the left side of the bay. (g)
The day Taco Zamarano has a website is the day I stop eating there. They have 3 locations in Oakland:
My favorite sit-down location is:
4032 Foothill Blvd--across the street from the Hell's Angels headquarters and next door to Sonny Barger's motorcycle joint (it can get quite noisy when all the Angels start their motorcycles at one time)
My favorite nice-weather-eat-on-your-car location:
Taco Z. truck in parking lot of Mexican grocery store on corner of High and East 14th.
The other location is a few feet from the truck on the other side of the parking lot--it's a cross between the truck and the Foothill restaurant. You stand in line to order at the window but can sit down at tables inside or outside.
Enjoy! And you MUST order the chicharron and carnitas tacos. Melanie would vote for the fish soup. And the fresh salsa is almost as good as San Jose Taqueria's but that's another story/posting. Yummmmmmm!
