We just ate there last night and the food is excellent. We started out with a blackboard (tapas) dish of the roasted marrow bones. We were expecting a couple of small bones and some crostini, but 7 Large bones came out - amazing stuff!! This dish would much better serve a table of 4, but it was excellent, great tastes, nice presentation. My wife went for an endive salad with blue cheese that was very good, followed by the Ahi with grilled articokes and aragula - very good tastes. I, on the other hand, wanted my full fat intake, and went for a torchon of foie gras (w/pearl onions and Riesling) and the Frenched lamb rack with lamb sausage. The entire meal was excellent, a jazz band was playing and we brought a 91 Caymus SS that was divine and opened excellently (corkage $15). Besides the fact that the food was prepared topnotch, it was a relative bargain: through Dinnerbroker.com, we got a 15% discount for a 6:00 reservation (we like to eat earlier), that coupled with martinis to start, and a glass of 77 Grahams for my wife and a Jacopo Poli Vespiano grappa for me, we got out the door for around $200. All in all, a great evening, and if one had to do it on more of a budget, you easily could. Highly recommended for the food and atmosphere. Location is pretty far out, though. Mission Rock / Port of SF area (16th and 3rd).
