Dining near Woodley Pk metro?

  • a

I'll be in town this week at a conference at the Marriott by the Woodley Park metro. The conference breaks pretty late each night, so convenient (but interesting!) dining suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

  1. There is a marvelous restaurant row right there by the metro. Lebanese Taverna is a great one. Cafe Paradiso is also not so bad. If you like sushi Tono Sushi is a good place. I have not been there but Jandara is Thai food and New Heights is supposed to be good modern American. If you walk down Connecticut, turn left and go across the bridge on Calvert, within a 10-minute walk you'll have all of Adams Morgan at your disposal. Mixtec, Pasta Mia, The Diner, Chez Antoine, several great Ethiopian places including Fasika's, and further down the street but worth the walk is San Marco, a good Italian place.

    1. Lebanese Taverna is good; a large place with large portions. Pretty good value if you're in a large group of people. If you want more subdued atmosphere, go to Tono Sushi. Excellent service and really fresh sushi.
