Advice on The Chop House?

I'm going on Monday night for the first time. What's it like? Any tips on what to order or avoid? Thanks.

  1. Stick with the simple stuff, burgers or steaks. The local beers on tap are pretty good too. Seafood and pasta dishes aren't worth it and some of the wines are overpriced. A good pair of earplugs wouldn't be a bad idea either.

      I don't think there are any local beers on tap there, except the ones they make, which are as local as it gets.

      The bourbon stout is worth trying.

    2. I haven't been there, but last April 25 a chowhound (Pam)recommended the mussels appetizer and char-grilled salad. I can only vouch that one of Pam's prior recommendations was spot-on (for Teaism's seafood udon noodle soup).
