The Book and The Cook Market & Showcase

Hi all!

Just curious, is anyone going up this weekend to "The Book and The Cook Market & Showcase" in Philly? I'm ready but was surprised to see it not in the convention center this year. Hmmmm... makes you wonder.

  1. I used to go regularly, when I lived in Philly, and the event was just putting a mark on culinary maps. It has gotten much better over the years. An article in the Baltimore Sun made the event sound well planned.

    I am attaching some info from their website:

    Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 make plans to visit the Adam’s Mark Hotel and enjoy a culinary extravaganza. The Showcase will fill the Grand Ballroom and Exhibition Hall with great sights, smells and tastes. Personalities such as Bobby Flay, David Rosengarten, Michael Chiarello, Mark Bittman, Jim Coleman, Roy Yamaguchi, Rick Bayless, Lidia Bastianich and many, many more will conduct cooking demonstrations throughout both days from TWO stages. Exhibitors of kitchen appliances, specialty cookware and gourmet foods will offer their products to sample and purchase. All of our authors appearing at The Culinary Market & Showcase will sign at the Borders Books Cookbook store where Mary Ann Esposito, Patricia Wells, and all of our demonstrating authors will be to sign your books!
