I know, the WORST day of the year to go to brunch, but my father is coming in town and he loves him some big brunch buffets.

Anyone have recommendations? I'd rather not go quite as pricey as The Ritz. Any of the Hilton/Hyatt/Marriott variety worth mentioning?

  1. Check out the Key Bridge Marriott. They have a restaurant on the top floor that has a great view and might be less pricey than the Ritz.

the best EasterSunday brunch (and there is a difference!) is by far Westfields Marriott. We have been going there for three years in a row now. It is extremely elaborate and everyone will find something to there liking. The dining room in the Palm Court makes one feel like they are in the Ritz. Let's face it... everyplace is going to be busy on Easter. I don;t know if you will be able to get reservations at this point, but certainly try. You will not be disappointed. The cost is $45 per person and mimosas are included. Enjoy!

    2. Market St. Grill in the Reston Town Center Hyatt. Really good brunch buffet.

      1. It's a ways from downtown, but we went for a drive in the VA suburbs on a Sunday recently and on a whim tried the buffet brunch at the Landsdowne Resort off of Route 7 in Loudon County. We were extremely pleased and surprised. For about $30 per person (including all the mimosas you cared to consume), you got a Ritz Carlton-style spread but at significantly less cost (including a raw bar with oysters, spiced shrimp and crab legs)...This definitely beats the Marriot. Another nice place, easily accessible from NoVa, is Normandie Farm on Falls Road in Potomac. Very nice buffet, good atmosphere, good food (including a raw bar). Cheers.
