Houng Que/Four Sisters-What to Order?

Ed Feb 19, 2002 10:49 AM

I'm looking for any recommendations at Houng Que/Four Sisters. I've looked over the extensive menu, and would like to make some informed choices. So what do learned chowhounds have to say? Thanks!

I don't belive that there is a finer dish than the Grilled Beef w/ Rice Crepe. It consists of marinated grilled skeweres of steak to be wrapped in rice crepe (uncooked rice noodle wrappers) with vermacelli, cilantro, sauce, etc.

I would also recommend thier bakery which is a few doors down to the left if you are facing the restaurant. They have bubble tea, sandwiches and KILLER roast pork buns.

4 Sisters is my favorite resturant. The clam and pork appetizer with black sesame seed rice crepes are excellent - it's a mix you load into the crepes - spicy. The whole fish with ginger is very very good. The pork and shrimp crepe is very good. I like grilled beef on vermicelli. The curries are good. I have had several of the soups but particularly like the pineapple/shrimp/sweet and sour soup.
You really can't go wrong, and the best thing about 4 Sisters is that you can ask ANY of the wait staff for help (especially one of the Sisters) and they are happy to walk you through based on what you're in the mood for. Don't be shy - ask for help.
I don't recommend dishes with Vietnamese ham. I don't really like it, it's spam.
