Once the season is right, I'm looking for a place in the DC area that sells live crawfish suitable for a crawfish boil. Any recommendations?
Also, is there any place around that rents the big pots for boiling crawfish and/or frying turkeys?

Last time I purchased them live, I bought them from a restaurant in DC. They had extra to sell, so you might try calling places that serve Cajun/Creole food. Also, Slavins Fish Market in Shirlington can get them for you. Juat call a few days before you need them. As for the pot and burner, you can get them at just about any rental place. If you buy a kit, it is worth it. They sell them at Target or Kohls.
I've seen two vedors at Maine Avenue Fishmarket that carry live crawdads occasionally in the summer. They always have them frozen, though. It's best to get there when they open for the best selection, but that goes without saying.
