V-Day dinner suggestions

Okay, I'm looking to spend around fifty a person. This drops out most of D.C.'s top flight restaurants, and several others that are having prix fixe specials. So what have been your surprise experiences for Valentine's Day? What's fun, good food and drink, and won't kill a poor boy on a non-profit budget? I thought Mimi's in DuPont, Jaleo downtown for starters, but I'd love to hear from you all. Cheers!

Bacchus in Dupont Circle for Middle Eastern food -- excellent food - I recommend getting lots of appetizers -- very reasonably priced, but kind of romantic underground location. Also would recommend Gabriel, right near Mimi's in Dupont -- elegant dining room, good Spanish food and tapas

You could try La Fourchette or The Little Fountain in Adams Morgan. They are both cozy little spots with good food and should come in around you price range.

Saveur on Wisconsin Ave. (between Georgetown and Glover Park) is a cute little french place that is not too pricey. Also, the Iron Gate or Tabard Inn, both on N Street (between 17th and 18th) are both nice and reasonably priced.

I'm a big fan of Ristorante Piccolo in Georgetown. Also, Sea Catch next door is on the C&O Canal, which is lit with Christmas lights.
