I got a good chuckle the other day reading on the General board about the phenomenon of forgetting absolutely every restaurant you would ever want to eat at when presented with the question "where should we go eat?". Story of my life. Had to do an awkward "meet the parents" dinner last night, and the parents picked Henningers on Bank St. in Fells Point as the place to meet. That's one of those great places to eat I can NEVER manage to remember when put on the spot - maybe because it's been there forever, no advertising... who knows. Anyhow, had a fantastic dinner, as I always do there. Had some fried oysters over spinach with a fennel cream sauce, then a duck and shitaake springroll with an asian beurre blanc, and then some pumpkin cheesecake which was brillant in that it wasn't all that sweet. Has everyone else in Baltimore totally forgotten this place in the heat of seeking out all of the new places?
