Need BMore Recommendation near Mechanics Theatre

Looking for a casual place for next Saturday night within easy walking distance of the Mechanics Theater, where we are going to a show. Type of cuisine and cost not terribly important; quality of the food is. (There will be five of us. We all like American, seafood, Southwest, French, Italian, etc.) Thanks!

If cost doesn't matter, go to Hampton's (very pricey) or Brighton's (slightly less pricey) at the Harbor Court hotel. (http://www.harborcourt.com/restrnt/). It's about 6 to 7 blocks away from the Theatre, but I think pretty clearly these are best restaurants in the area (Morton's is also close by).

Hope this helps. If you need other suggestions, there's been some recent discussion on Inner Harbor restaurants. In addition, I recently ate at Maison Marconi's and had a blast; just know that it's a very old-school Baltimore restaurant where the age of the restaurant is pretty much the age of its customers, and you should go looking for an experience rather than tremendous food.

I'm not familiar with anything in that area within walking distance, although I try to avoid that part of town (I despise the inner harbor area). I'd take a cab up Charles to the Helmand, or drive to Fells Point for the Black Olive.

It's supposed to be chilly this weekend at long last, so walking may not be your best option anyway.
