Spanish in DC?

I've got a craving for Spanish food. Who can help me? I'm looking for a really authentic place with great wines, and nice, hearty portions. Its not that I need much food, but there's something about a giant steaming paella in the center of the table that's just wonderful.

Anyone have suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Mark Bittman recently proclaimed Jaleo the best tapas bar on the East Coast. There's also a good place in Old Town Alexandria called Las Tapas.

Jaleo is excellent for Tapas. This is superb for Spanish incl. paella, zarzuela con marciscos, gambas ajillos, etc. Luxurious, romantic, a big deal restaurant that's well worth it. The D. C. location is actually a branch of the original from Madrid. Considered by all to be one of the best Spanish in America. Superb Spanish wine list with a 100% mark up.
Tio Pepe in Baltimore is also good but I think Taberna is better.
