Great crepes in DC-Adams Morgan (sweet & savory)

Djinni Field Sep 17, 2001 01:16 AM

This is my first time on this site (thank you New Yorker) and I'm surprised not to see anything on Chez Antoine in Adams Morgan.
It is a low key and inexpesive place mostly meant for take out but maybe seats 20.
So far I've tried two types of crepes, I don't recall the names but one was Chicken, red sauce & swiss the other a ham & bechamel combination. I've tried a few other things on the menu, including a hamburger sub, all incredibly delicious. I can't wait to try the desserts.

Chez Antoine is great. Just like a little neighborhood creperie in France. I love the tartiflette and anything they serve with cheese. The homemade sorbet is also amazing. It's run by a French family and is usually pretty empty, so get out there chowhounds and give them some business.

This is the first time I've posted anything on the site, but I just had to mention that Chez Antoine has the most fantastic ice cream and sorbet. Try the banana sorbet...

Thanks! Happy to oblige when I can, but mostly looking for new ideas.
