Although Chincoteague is not exactly Bawlmer-DC country, the well traveled chowhounds around here know no limits in sniffing out the best of quaint local seafood eateries. Surely some have ventured to the home of Misty for a seafood meal or two. We will be in the Chincoteague area in a few weeks and would like to sample some of the great local seafood we hear exists there and along our eastern shore routes (50 and 13) if one can get pass the tourist raps. Appreciate any help we can get- especially looking for local fare like crabs (steamed and crab cakes), shrimp, clams, and fish prepared in accordance with local recipes by those who know what they are doing. Thanks in advance for your help and sharing your success with a fellow epicurean.

  1. If you use the search engine on the home page, there are quite a number or recommendations for the Eastern Shore. You could also put Delmarva in the search engine and see if you get any others. A fascinating area.
