Today's Washington Post food section has a very long feature on local chowhound/intellectual Tyler Cowen, the pride of George Mason University and the author of an extensive guide to DC area ethnic restaurants. The article includes the URL for his guide.

Talk about taking some for the team. This guy sees a little joint in an obscure strip center, and goes in and starts ordering.

His online guide is an amazing resource. Has anyone put together such a guide for other cities?

  1. Tyler is truly a local treasure, and I credit this wonderful website for introducing him to me over a year ago. Now, if I could just convince him to move to my neck of the woods (Bethesda/Rockville), I'd save myself a lot of disappointing meals!

    1. Terrific article that articulates well some of the joys of Chowhounding. Thanks for the heads up, bob, and congratulations, Tyler.
