Thanks to the herculean efforts of chowhound Melissa Garland, we now offer a Baltimore Tip Sheet including the accumulated chow-wisdom of the innumerable chowhounds on these message boards.

  1. Having worked at Kawasaki, it might be helpful to know that they get their fish on Tuesdays and Fridays. Mondays and Thursdays are the absolute worse times to go. Tuesday and Friday nights being the best. If you're lucky, they'll also get in live scallops on those nights.

    Also, the one in Fells Point offers a slightly different take on Japanese cusine in Baltimore. They have various "shish-kebab" combinations that are are meant to be grilled. Never tried them so I can't vouch for them.

      I've tried the yakatori (sp?) at the Fells Point Kawasaki and have found it to be quite good. We got some sort of "chef's choice" combination platter that had several different yakatori types served together.
