New Malaysian Place South of Dupont

Has anyone eaten yet at the new Malaysian restaurant that just opened a couple of blocks from Dupont Circle, I think on M Street? I read an intriguing write-up on it in the Post, but I'd love to hear from someone that ate there and didn't get paid to write about it.

I just got back from DC, where I ate at the Restaurant in question. It's called Malaysia Kopitiam, 1827 M Street NW, (202) 833-6232. I stumbled onto it while looking for the kebab house next door. I ended up eating at Malaysia Kopitiam two evenings in a row (never did make it over to the kebabs!). A varied menu ensures you'll find something you'll like. The staff is friendly, and the prices are very reasonable (entrees run $7.50 to $15.95). The Spicy Tamarind Beef is one of the most amazing things I have ever tasted. I also recommend the Lo Bak appetizer and the Black Pepper Lamb. I will make this a regular stop for all future DC trips!
