Lakes-Region, NH: Lyons' Den (recently opened restaurant)!

Hi there!

There is a fantastic restaurant (on the fancy side, overlooking the lake) and tavern (a bar overlooking the lake), right on Lake Winnipausakee next to the Glendale Docks in Gilford, NH. They serve things like soups, salads, appetizers, sandwiches (@ lunch), seafood and steak and it is AMAZINGLY yummy. I just started working there and we get to eat the food after our shifts, and I was so pleased to taste it! I have yet to have anything bad, and the customers always let me know that everything was excellent. Nothing's too filling and the deserts are great too. The husband and wife team that run the restaurant are so nice, I absolutely love working for them! Also, Mr. Lyons (the chef) has had over 20 years of culinary experience (which definitely shows). The two just bought the place about 9 months ago (it used to be called "Townsend's" and before that, "Gretchen's), and they're still trying to get signs up on the road because it's kinda off the beaten path. But anyway, the place is called the Lyons' Den now (Lyons' because that is the owners' last name), and it's off of route 11, a little to the east of Sawyers and Patrick's if you know where those are, right next to the Glendale Docks like I said above.

It isn't your typical chain restaurant, it's better! Check it out and spread the word =)

Everything is so delicious and the atmosphere and service is wonderful as well.

Finally made it and so glad we did! Awesome Awesome service by Heather (ask for her when you make reservations - she is excellent, personable, made the evening for us). Food was great-excellent: Dad and I had a veal dish, mine was fantastic veal Lauren with shrimp, artichoke hearts and tomatos - Dad loved his veal marsala (loaded with mushrooms). Hubby got a fantatic prime rib. We split an order of calamari, they were great although I'm getting to being a conisseour (not a speller though) of calamari and still enjoy Corner House Inn in Sandwich the best (or Glenview in Chelmsford when south)! I also started with a classic wedge which was fantastic. Go!!! Ohhh the view of the lake from our table - Excellent (even in the rain)!

Are you for hire as a marketer/server? I'm all for a good bite in the L.R. Please make sure to mention the burgers and sandwichs are available all the time in the bar with the superior view-is cookie still there?
