Spectacular Restaurants in SF
- John Cooney
My wife and I are visiting your fair city in the middle of January. We will be in town for about four days. We are from New York City and would definitely be classified as "foodies".
We haven't been to SF for perhaps ten years, and we're looking for restaurants there that will knock us out. The priorities start with food and wine, then ambience. We are not worried about cost.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Elisabeth-Daniel in Jackson Square is wonderful. Don't miss the heavenly lemon souffle. The wine list is especially interesting and well priced. Quiet and serene, the focus is on the food. If you are looking for glitz, this may not be your best choice, but it is understated elegance and Daniel Patterson has created some of the Bay Area's best food both here and at his last restaurant in Sonoma.
