new Bacar restaurant? any info appreciated

this wednesday 12/6, there were 4 pages in the SF Chronicle about this "definitive San Francisco restaurant." some friends of mine tried to go-called it a "chinese fire drill" has anybody been? what's it like"

I work right across the street from Bacar. And they definitely look open now. I am actually quite upsest with the valet parkers, they use parking spaces that don't belong to them (i.e. our parking spaces).

I know somebody who has invested in Bacar, went to an "investors'" dinner - said food was all right but not much of it.

What intrigued me about article was no dumb waiter - how long will the wait staff be willing to take to the stairs?

I'll choose to ignore your friends' comments.

Don't think Bacar has opened the doors yet to the public.
