Cavaliere's Bakery & Deli Portland ,CT
Hi ,
I just wanted to share a review of a great Italian Deli and Bakery located on main st Portland Ct.
I am a big fam of good Italian pastry and Cavaliere's is the best I have tasted in a long time.
Also I have enjoyed there gourmet Pizza which changes each day of the week but its excellent.
The lunch menu is good and includes meatball grinders ,Tuna ,Turkey,and also some excellent soup specials.
They recently added breakfast sandwiches with bacon,egg and cheese or sausages.
They make them fresh.
Anyway if you get a chance check them out for breakfast sandwiches or there daily lunch specials.
They get my vote for best new Italian Deli and Bakery in the greater Middesex County area.

Do you know if the Cavaliere's in Portland is owned by the same folks who ran Cavalieri's in Marlborough (and I think later on, in Hebron)? I miss that place, the pastries were excellent, and so were the breakfast/lunch sandwiches. If so, I am glad to hear they are still in the area.
