breakfast in Bedfor NH area

We are serious chowhounds looking for a great breakfast place in the Bedford NH area. Someplace with good country home cooking. Omelette's, corned beef hash and such... Any rec's??

Greenfield's Restaurant in Litchfield has great hash. It's a casual place on 3A right in with Mel's Tee Off mini golf, go-karts etc.

You could try the Red Arrow Diner on Lowell St. in Manchester. Not too far from Bedford, next town over. It's a historic land mark, 24 hour operation ... everything is good.. ham steaks are outstanding.

Karen's Kitchen is an excellent breakfast spot and I am a big fan of thier lunches as well. Nothing fancy....just good food and friendly service. I am hooked.

Altho I doubt you'll find hash, you might try Karen's Kitchen on rte 101 west in a mini mall on the left hand side as you are traveling west. It is at the site of the old Zingarella's Italian restaurant. Karen S. has always been noted for doing breakfast with her husband Andy, who used to run Andy's Place in Manchester. Give it a try.

You might want to take the trip down to Mason, NH and try Parker's Maple Barn. I don't think they have corned beef hash, but they do a very tasty ham hash, great pancakes, and of course their own maple syrup.

Be prepared for a wait--it's sugaring time and everybody comes to see them boiling down the sap. The wait can be up to 2 hours on weekends.

Oh yeah! I've never gone there on a weekend, for that very reason.

Parker's does have corned beef hash. I was there today and will post a review separately.

Bedford is a bedroom community with limited food options, though breakfast at the Bedford Village Inn is a delicious and expensive option. You could try Chez Vachon in West Manchester for breakfast--their specialty is "poutine", which is a French-Canadian delicacy--french fries smothered in gravy and cheese curds topped with your choice of bacon, sausage, etc...
