Pattycakes (Wethersfield, CT).. opinions?

I have heard good things about the pastries/coffee at the new location.. Haven't visited the original(s?) but since the new one is near work I might make it a regular stop. Anyone been?

  1. Where is it in Wethersfield? I've never heard of this place before...

    1. re: Lisa

next to village pizza.. forget what used to be there.

    2. it is a great little spot...wonderful pastries. everyone is always very nice...get there early on weekends, it seems like things sell out quick.

      1. The bagels and breads are very good--don't care for the coffee.
The pastries are ok--not as good as Franklin Avenue spots. I think all of the baking is done in the Rocky Hill location, and delivered to Wethersfield during the day.
Their chocolate covered strawberries are excellent.

        1. a new danish pastry shop just opened on the same property as comstock ferre, where the lawyers office used to be. blows pattycakes away. stuff is imported from denmark, owner is friendly.. new to u.s.. and the coffee is good. try the blueberry cream fans. awesome.

          1. pattycakes has closed, it's been replaced with a pretty good bagel/pastry/egg sandwich/coffee place. brookston bagels or some such. much better than p-cakes.
