Hart's Turkey Farm in Meredith, NH

  • r

My partner and I are driving up to North Conway, NH on Thanksgiving Day and want to stop at Hart's Turkey Farm for dinner in Meredith? Has anyone been there? Not looking for gourmet, just good food. I kinda expect the place to be somewhat fun. Thanks,Richie

  1. great food at harts! I usually get the medium turkey dinner - all white meat, with blueberry pie a la mode for dessert! I have never been disappointed.

      Gobble-gobble.

It's good home style cooking, and just about every variation of turkey you could think of - and then some.

A turkey institution. I have a feeling you'll be satisfied.

    2. Hart's isn't bad, but it's no Green Ridge Turkey Farm (a long-lost restaurant in Nashua, NH that everyone went to as a kid).

It's worth going to, at least once anyway, since it is kind of a fun place.

I have been to GreenRidge Turkey Farm many times as a child. We used to vacation around Nashua all the time back in the 1970's. I am looking forward to Hart's! Thanks everyone.

When I was a kid 15 at the time I was a dish washer at the greenridge turkey farm rest.$120 perhr about 1971 gobel gobel

      2. You can't go wrong with Hart's Turkey Farm. I've been going to Hart's for many year's, and have never been disappointed. I broke a promise to myself this weekend, that I wouldn't stop here till after Thanksgiving. I was in the area winterizing the lake house, and couldn't resist my temptation to stop in for dinner, and left very full with just a small bit of guilt.

We LOVE Hart's and stop there every chance we get. My favorite dish is their turkey stir-fry; but everything is good.

The Thanksgiving Day hours are posted on the web site. I can't remember if they take reservations.... we just stop and wait. :)

          1. My family has eaten at Hart's many times, and every meal was good. I'm not much into turkey, but there were plenty of other things to order. The place is homey and the comfort food they sell is good for that warm, fuzzy feeling.

If you are looking for turkey, then this is the place for you! It will be crowded on Thanksgiving, obviously, and they are only open 10:30am - 4pm that day. I don't know if they take reservations; I included a link below.

If you find it too crowded, you might want to try the Common Man chain of restaurants... they seem to have taken over the rest of Meredith (not necessarily a bad thing...!), so there's Lago, Camp, Lakehouse, and (during the summer) Town Docks, so if you find the line at Hart's on Thanksgiving too daunting, you could try one of these other places (great food there as well, so they may have long lines as well).

            1. not great, but well worth a visit

              1. After about 6 years of having Hart's on my "I should try that place sometime" list, I finally went there after a day of rock climbing in Rumney.

Hart's was definitely worth doing. Definitely on my top 10 list of "Best Turkey Dinners"

                1. Been going for years, it's a huge menu but Turkey any which way you want is definately their specialty. I've had great salads, good appetisers, etc. It's not gourmet but just good wholesome food. Their portions are a bit too much, so keep that in mind since they do have lighter portions or mini's.
