The East Side Cafe on the corner of Root place has great pizza in a funky old bar, but they only serve pizza and only at dinner.

There is a cafeteria style BBQ place on center street that is pretty good.

La Fogotta on Tyler street has pretty good Columbian food.

If you are adventurous there is a Jamaican hole in the wall place called the Riverside resturaunt on Dewey street (which is a pretty bad part of town).

Sorry - last I heard BBQ place is closed.
Breakfast:
Court Square Breakfast & Deli for Breakfast - just around Park Square - across from the courthouse.
Misty Moonlight Diner - Breakfast All Day, descent burgers. East St
Lunch/Dinner:
Patricks Pub on Park Square - good wings.
Bobby Hudpuckers, East St. Appetizers are good, last time I was there the dinner wasn't great. But have been several times in the past and was always satisfied - maybe we just caught them on a bad night.
Entree Portions are very large.
Elizabeths on East St. I have never been there but board postings have been positive.
Zucchini's Route 7N/North St - Have been twice and both times food is good, service is good. Love those sweet potato fries. Nice for drinks and dinner.
Have fun!

One of my favorite restaurants is in Pittsfield - Tratoria Rustica on McKay st. The best Italian food - fair prices - a wonderful brick oven and great mussels, fish, pasta.....

Also Cafe Reva on Tyler St. for great breakfastsd and lunch.

On a Roll Cafe on North st for lunch and dinner.

I second the Riverside Restaurant. Take-out only - great curried goat!!
