Attending a show in Waterbury mid February; looking for an upscale dinner place before the show. Any suggestions?

Although I haven't eaten there in a while I would highly recommend Drescher's Restaurant on Leavenworth St. which is near the Palace Theatre (which I am assuming is where you are going...gorgeous renovation by the way). Check out the link below for information and their menu.

Thanks for the great suggestions! Carmen Anthony's sounds terrific ....... as does Drescher's (the menu reminds me of the Student Prince in Springfield MA - yum!)

Carmen Anthony's steakhouse is supposed to be the best steakhouse in CT. I believe this is the original one too. It's on Chase Ave. I have been to Circa Bistro and have had a good meal there and I hear Diorios downtown is also very good. Enjoy,Richie

Ditto Carman Anthony! Head and shoulders the best!! Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and much much more in terms of food quality, quantity, atmosphere and service. You will not be disappointed.

Carmen Anthony's is wonderful but not a restuarant you want to hurry through dinner to go to a show. Carmen's should be your destination for the evening. It is also pretty far from the theatre. I second the recommendations for D'Orori's or Dreschers, pretty close by and great food.
