Martin's in Great Barrington is the place to hang out.

I agree that Martin's is great for good (breakfast or lunch) but it is tiny and crowded so I am not so confident that it is a place for a lingering get together. They always seemed so busy that hanging out over lunch would be less than comfortable.

I love Martin's. I've been in at odd brunchy hours and it hasn't been terribly crowded. The food is great, quite reasonably priced, it's just a nice spot.

The Bombay Grill in Lee has a good Indian Buffet. It may be only Sundays now.

I like the Barrington Brewery in Great Barrington. Good beer, very casual, and home of the best reuben sandwich ever.

Spice in Pittsfield has very good upscale American food in a beautiful room with comfortable seating
