New Year's Day Brunch
- Jim Leff
I'll be playing a jazz gig in Marin County on New Year's Eve (as it happens, the bandleader is a great sax player who was--until recently--the west coast editor of Wine Spectator, so it's gonna be the rhythm section versus the food section!). Am looking for somewhere good to get something brunch-ish the following day, January 1. Not dim sum--I'm doing that the following morning.
Obviously a northern choice is best for us, but since I think we're meeting Bob(TM) and Wife O'Bob(TM) for this meal (??bob??), and they're in East Bay, just about anywhere in the area would serve as a good compromise.
I was thinking of lunch at Chez Panisse or their cafe, but both will be closed.
